CT Humane Society

Thank you for taking the time to know more about CT Humane Society.  If and when each and everyone  of us take personal responsibility to play an important role in the lives of an animal’s life, the world is a better place.  Some times it might seem to be insignificant.  You know what?  No pat or hug is too small.

CT Humane Society hopes and desires that each and every companion animal belong to a place where it finds compassion, where the people surrounding it are elevated to a state of loving bond between animals and people.  Which eventually might eliminate animal cruelty altogether.  A tall order?  Yes, it this.  That is why no matter how insignificant the role is, it fits into a larger picture of hope, love and care for these animals.

CT Humane Society is a private organization that is not affiliated with any groups or organizations.  All of the funding has been generously donated by the public towards caring and activities related to these homeless animals. The cost of placement services, food, shelter, veterinary care and spay/neuter are put towards good use.  All donations are fully tax-deductible. Just contact the office for a receipt.

If you would like to do something more than just donating, the CT Humane Society welcomes volunteer.  Since its establishment in 1881, there has been many volunteers who have come through their doors offering help.  There are many options of involvement for people who love animals when they volunteer their time at this centre.  One of the options is to foster pets in their own homes.  They might not be required to keep it as a permanent pet but for up to few weeks or months, is a great help.  This CT animal shelters do understand that volunteers have changing priorities in their lives and as much as they would like to offer more but at times, that is just not possible.  So, CT Humane Society jobs are filled on a as-needed basis. There are forms to be filled and interviews to attend before each volunteer application is accepted. To check out the exact requirements, go to their official website at cthuman.org for information.

CT Human Society dog adoption options are very popular.  When you view the dogs looking for homes, you will fall in love with them!  So brave yourself that you might not end up with a dozen or more.  CT dog adoption is a very practical way of easing the load at the CT Humane Society and at the same time, giving dogs the opportunity for love, even if it is for a few week.
